ELL/ESL program leadership

N.J.A.C. 6A:15-1.4(d) requires that districts that enroll 20 or more students in any one language classification must provide a full-time bilingual program. In 2021, Sparta Township met this threshold for its Spanish-speaking students. 

Through consultation with ESL teachers, professional network of ESL supervisors and NJDOE coordinators, we have developed a High-Intensity Sheltered ESL program for 2021-2022.
